Quick Karaoke Signup helps hosts manage karaoke sessions on YouTube and lets guests submit song requests from their own devices. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how to contact us.

Information We Collect

• Host account information from Google sign-in, such as name, email address, and Google user ID.
• Karaoke session data, such as session codes, queue items, singer names, song titles, artists, and session status.
• Guest request information entered on the song request page, such as singer name, song title, and artist.
• Coarse product analytics, such as country code, timezone, browser language, device category, operating system family, and extension version.
• Basic technical logs and metadata needed to operate, debug, and protect the service.

How We Use Information

• To create, display, update, and end karaoke sessions.
• To show song requests to the host inside the Chrome extension.
• To prevent abuse, rate limit risky activity, and protect the service.
• To troubleshoot issues and improve Quick Karaoke Signup.
• To understand broad usage patterns and device compatibility without building advertising profiles.
• To send hosts one follow-up email after their first karaoke session asking for product feedback.
• To notify the service owner when a host creates a session so early product usage can be monitored and supported.

Analytics And Approximate Location

We use limited analytics to understand whether the product works across countries, timezones, languages, and broad device types. Country is inferred from the network request at country level. Our Firestore product analytics do not store precise coordinates, postal codes, city-level location, full user-agent strings, or screen dimensions. We do not use this information for advertising or sell it.

Session and request timestamps are stored in UTC. A timezone may be stored so activity can be displayed in the user's approximate local time. Device information is limited to categories such as mobile, tablet, or desktop and broad operating-system families.

The public landing and guest request pages also use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous, aggregate page-view statistics such as approximate geography, browser, operating system, and device type. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and its page-view data is not linked in our activity dashboard to a host account or guest request.

Legal Basis

We process account, session, and request information to provide the service requested by hosts and guests. We process limited security logs, product analytics, and the one-time first-session feedback follow-up for our legitimate interests in protecting, troubleshooting, and improving the service. You may object to analytics or feedback communications by contacting us below.

Guest Song Requests

Guests do not need to create an account to request a song. Guests should avoid entering sensitive personal information in singer names, song titles, or artist fields.

Third-Party Services

Quick Karaoke Signup uses third-party services to provide the product:

• Google OAuth and Firebase Authentication for host sign-in.
• Firebase/Google Cloud for database storage and backend infrastructure.
• Vercel for hosting and backend API routes.
• Resend for delivering owner session notifications and the one-time host feedback email.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate Quick Karaoke Signup, or when required by law.

Data Retention

Quick Karaoke Signup is currently in alpha. Session, queue, and related analytics data may be retained while the product is being tested and improved. We aim to keep only information that remains useful for product operation, security, and improvement, and a more formal retention schedule is planned before a broader commercial launch. Basic feedback-email scheduling and delivery metadata may be retained to prevent duplicate follow-ups and troubleshoot delivery problems.

Security

We use authenticated host sessions, backend validation, and rate limits to reduce unauthorized access and abuse. No online service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but we aim to protect data with reasonable technical safeguards.

Your Choices

Hosts can sign out from the Chrome extension. Hosts may reply to the feedback email or contact us below to ask not to receive future product emails. To request deletion of account, session, request, feedback-email delivery metadata, or analytics data, or to object to analytics processing, contact us using the email below.
